Bible Verse #3: THE LORD IS GOOD - Free Daily Inspirational Bible Verses

“The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7

Christians believe in one who is good. It indeed makes a whole lot of difference to know that we trust in one who is good; one who looks out for our good always.

God is good, no matter the circumstances that you may be facing.

Because He is good, He stands as our stronghold in the day of trouble. A stronghold is a fortified place, a place of security and survival. So, the Lord our stronghold for our security and survival. How about that?

So, Christians are never alone, even in the darkest of times when they are likely to feel as though The Lord has forsaken them. This should surely encourage us in our walk with the Lord.

But there is something I need to highlight about the opening Bible verse. It goes like this, “… he knows them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7 Glory to God!

He knows them, each one of them. He knows you personally, even among multitudes. He calls you by name. Your individual prayer reaches His throne. You should always feel like this about yourself; it will give you confidence in life.

“He knows my name!” you should always rejoice and shout as you go about your business.

There is another dimension – He also knows those that do not trust in Him, even if they try to act like they do! The Lord is all-knowing. So be careful where you stand.

Bible Verse #2: WITH THE LORD ALWAYS - Motivational Bible Verses

“I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” Psalm 16:8

Believers sometimes act as though they are absent-minded; they act like they don’t care much about the will of the One they follow. But one thing is certain; all believers seek the hand of the Lord when they face difficult situations and circumstances.

Yet there is a formula that makes it easier for one to achieve victory; surprisingly, it is a formula that some believers tend to take lightly.

The Psalmist understood this well. I want you to pay close attention to the opening verse of this article.

The Psalmist started by making a bold decision, which is not only to set the Lord before him but to do so always. That’s an excellent starting point.

You need to set the Lord before you, always. The Lord should be your focus at every breath of your life. Let not your mind wander. Never fall into a drunken stupor. If you gave Him your life, you should never be found acting like you did not!

If you do not want to set Him before you always, then what was your intention when you gave your life to Him?

Because the Psalmist set the Lord before him always, the Lord remained at the Psalmist’s right hand, every second of the Psalmist’s life. What a wonderful state of affairs!

This got me thinking.

I have heard many believers cry out, “Lord, why have you left me!” I believe this is a misplaced cry arising out of a wrong diagnosis. Has the Lord really left you? Have you placed Him before you always, like the Psalmist did?

The opening verse clearly shows us that if we set Him before us always, if we make Him the apple of our eyes, He in turn will always be at our right hand. Sometimes it is better to improve one’s walk with the Lord than to claim that the Lord has forsaken them.

Here is the beautiful part of the opening Bible verse: “… because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” Psalm 16:8

How true!

If your focus is 100% on Him, He will remain at your right hand. If and whenever He is on your right hand, nothing in this world will move you, not even illness, death, and poverty. You will never fall hostage to fear, insecurity, discouragement, and depression.

Sounds like the way to go; doesn’t it?

Bible Verse #1: WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FACE DIFFICULT TIMES - Uplifting Bible Verses for Strength in Hard Times

“In my distress I cried to the LORD, and he heard me.” Psalm 120:1

Isn’t this just wonderful? Indeed, those who are in the Lord are in the most perfect of 'places'!

We all face difficult times at some point in life; you may be facing difficult times as you read this. May the LORD fill you with hope out of the abundance of His mercy!

Problem: You are in distress, and you don’t know what to do about it.

Solution: Cry to the Lord.

People normally face two challenges when they are in distress. First, they may lose hope, become weak, and therefore keep their mouths shut.

Second, they may call out to the LORD, but in unbelief, in doubt; they ask themselves, “Does God even hear me?”

Please hold this message tight in your heart: Whenever you are in distress, cry to the Lord. Believe that He hears you because He does.

The Psalmist called out the LORD, and the LORD heard him. Nobody can go far with the LORD without this mindset.

Encouraging, isn’t it?
